History ___ I purchased this vehicle in 1999. I have honestly replaced everything on this vehicle. It is truly in exceptional condition as you can see by the pictures. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I have. I have a very large file on this vehicle which shows the purchases for the restoration. The restoration took approximately six years and is currently not being driven. I try to drive the vehicle twice monthly .
Engine 5.0 / 302-V8 with less than 25,000 miles. The original motor in the vehicle was a 200-6/cylinder with 141,000 miles on it and was in need of repair. Instead of rebuilding the 200-6/cylinder, we retrieved and rebuilt a 302/V8 from a 1973 Mercury Comet and installed it. The motor was rebuilt along with the C-4 transmission which currently has a slight leak.
The following was installed new during the course of the restoration: -water pump - starter - alternator - electronic ignition - fuel pump -Hedman Headers - remanufactured air conditioning compressor (needs to be recharged) - custom valve covers - replaced all hoses -custom breather -new selonoid - 3-flu radiator with overflow tank - heater core - aluminum intake manifold -4-barrell 650 CFM Edelbrock carburetor - fuel lines -battery -spark plug and high performance wires -radiator cap
Suspension -upper control arms -lower control arms -front shocks and coil springs -rear air shocks - leaf springs - idler arm -inner and outer bearings -new spindals and hubs -power booster with dual master cylinder -11.25 turbo slotted rotors - 4 Piston calipers -Premium brake pads -brake lines -all new brake hardware
Wheels -Custom Wheels ___ 4 (5 lug) Torque Thrust II Rims (American Racing) with New Tires
Exhaust -2 __ illuminated pipe from headers to rear bumper rolled down with two three chamber flowmasters. Trunk- some fiberglass work - vinyl trunk mat - gasoline tank
