Description: This car has 41,836 miles on it and is in original stock condition. It was built in San Jose, California on January 3, 1967 and spent all of its life in Arizona until about 6 years ago. The two previous owners lived in Wisconsin. The party I bought the car from had it since August 2004. I bought the car in the fall of 2007 with the intention of a detailing a full rotisserie restoration but a recent neck and back operation has forced me to reconsider this idea. I had previously completed restoration on a Buick GS and realize that I am probably not physically up to it anymore. The engine is a smooth running 289 2-barrel V8 with cold factory air conditioning that has been converted to R-134. It has a recently flushed 3-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with bucket seats, console, power steering, tilt, steering wheel, tinted windshield, and wire wheel covers. An aftermarket AM/FM stereo radio w/cassette has been installed. The brakes are manual drum. The car is also equipped with the Mustang exterior decor' package that includes the hood scoop turn signals, wheel lip, and trunk lid moldings, etc. The car is red. It was repainted at one time but needs it again. There are a few surface scratches as indicated on the photos. It has a new white power convertible top and a new glass rear window that was installed by previous owner. The heater core and fuel pump have also been recently replaced. The seats, dash pad, and interior vinyl side panels are excellent with no cuts or tears. These look new but the carpeting needs replacing along with the aged weather stripping. Engine bay needs cleaning and detailing. The steel-belted tires are good and single exhaust system is also good but is starting to show its age. As is often the case with originals of this vintage, the window regulators and channels could use lubricating for ease of operation. A roller must be broken and needs replacement for the rear driver's side rear window.
